Symbolic key handover for Aldi Distribution Centre in Mitchelstown Ireland

It is finished! In March the team of the Essen architects Koschany + Zimmer KZA handed over the 60,000-square-meter Irish food distribution center with ambient and chilled warehouse,
two-storey office building and extensive grounds to the client Aldi Stores Ireland Limited. The symbolic key handover of one of the largest construction projects in Ireland in the recent years took place in the presence of the Managing and Property Directors of Aldi Stores Ireland Limited and Managing Partner of Koschany + Zimmer Architekten KZA, Wolfgang Zimmer.

KZA apartment project scheduled for early 2013 delivery
Luxury developer, DAMAC properties hat topped out construction at its landmark serviced hotel apartment development, Burjside Boulevard in Dubai. Located opposite the
Dubai Mall and designed by KZA the 50 storey tower is DAMAC’s first hotel apartment project. All 300 apartments will be managed by five-star hotel international standards. True to the motto “Luxury at your service”. The project is scheduled for early 2013 delivery.
KZA Team successful in Moscow
Third Price for international urban competition „A101 Urban Block“
Projectmanager Mathias Dersthof and his team were successful in Moscow. On December 3rd 2010 they won the 3rd price
in participating in the international open competition for urban living in which a total of 250 teams from40 countries took part. Masshtab Development Company from Moscow did announce this competition for a design of urban blocks.

Turning of the sod event took place on May 11th 2009 in Mitchelstown / County Cork
In 2005 KZA delivered a detailed and convincing prototype study for British distribution centres for Aldi UK. KZA designed this centre especially for the British and Irish market and adapted it to the countries’
particular needs. Providing a gross floor area of approximately 60.000 sqm the new centre offers space for ambient and chilled warehouses as well as an office building. Minister for Foreign Affairs Micheál Martin T.D. and Donald Mackay, Managing Director Aldi Stores Ireland turned the first sod at the Mitchelstown site on May 11th 2009.
Reestablishment of KZA Middle East in April 2009
KZA is expanding its operations to the entire Gulf Region
In December 2008 KZA General Manager Axel Koschany and local Dubai Architect Mohammed Alawadhi signed a partnership contract
at the Public Notary in Dubai. In April 2009 KZA obtained a licensing for the reestablishment of the office KZA Middle East in Dubai. KZA is strengthening its activities in Dubai and is expanding its operations to the entire Gulf Region.
New Design for Hotel Park in Georgia
The concept will be finalized until spring/summer 2009
KZA is designing a hotel park with a three star hotel, two appartement buildings and 16 mansions for the Georgian company REDIX, resident of Tiflis.
KZA hotel consultant Thomas Kessler is involved in the concept study for this hotel complex situated in Kobuleti at the Georgian Black Sea beach.
The Middle East Architect Magazine introduces KZA Design of Moscow Exhibition Centre
In its latest edition the magazine draws the attention to a current KZA project in Moscow
Surrounded by an environmentally protected forest and situated beside a main thoroughfare just outside the Muscovite cityscape, the Moscow Exhibition Centre (MEC) was designed to meld sleek fluidity with shimmering mystery.
A concept created by Axel Koschany and Mathias Kampmann of the German firm Koschany + Zimmer Architects (KZA), the complex will incorporate the Vadim Sadoroschny Museum of Technology – housing classic cars, tanks, planes and trains – a five-star hotel, a conference centre and a wellness/spa area.
Construction Start of the Dubai Autism Center
KZA developed the architectural design for the 16 million Euro project
The design integrates a therapy-center as well as a school specialized on children with Autism disorders. The architectural design provides a clearly structured
space allocation plan with round shapes, appropriate colours for children and a grand scale of external features.
Founded in 2001, Dubai Autism Center is the largest, most innovative and comprehensive nonprofit organization in the United Arab Emirates serving children with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
