„BIM for everyone!“ is the title of a cooperation event about Building Information Modeling (BIM) organized by the Chamber of Architects of North Rhine-Westphalia (AKNW) in Düsseldorf. Wolfgang Zimmer’s topic at the panel discussion on Thursday, 4 October, will be „BIM in dialogue – introduction of BIM“.

Together with Mathias Pfeifer (RKW Architektur +), the managing partner of the KZA office is going to talk about experiences with the digital planning tool BIM. The focus is on new responsibilities, hurdles and opportunities for architectural practices introducing BIM.

As the Chamber of Architects explains, the intention of the event is to give an insight into the functioning of BIM. After all, digitization is playing an increasingly important role in the daily work of architects and engineers.

The aim is „to clarify advantages and synergies, but also possible obstacles to the BIM method and to provide a basis for decision-making for one’s own office,“ the AKNW states.
