„BIM for architects“ is the title of a new brochure, which was presented at Expo Real in Munich. KZA managing director Wolfgang Zimmer co-authored the project. The main question is how Building Information Modeling (BIM) affects performance, contracts and the calculation of fees for architects.
The 90-page magazine, presented by the German Federal Chamber of Architects (BAK), as well as the architects and city council chamber of Hesse, was developed in cooperation with the law firm Kapellmann and partners from Düsseldorf. It complements previous publications and answers questions about handling BIM in everyday work life. Since the distribution of the planning method in the German construction sector is steadily increasing, there are also growing information requirements among the architects involved, as the organizers report.
Application examples for contracts
„BIM for architects“ contains many application examples for contracts and remuneration. Readers can also learn about basic principles of model-based planning as well as copyright and data protection. The digital version can be downloaded on the website of the Chamber of Architects.
