Large-scale project in Wolfsburg

65 flats and a modern service center will be built within the next two years in Wolfsburg. The realization of the large-scale project „Living and trading on Schlesierweg“ has now started with the ground-breaking ceremony. Koschany + Zimmer architects KZA designed the group of buildings.

The municipal housing company Neuland creates new living space for singles, families and seniors on the area with approximately 12,000 square meters. Two six-storey multi-family houses and a seven-storey residential tower make reference to the surrounding buildings from the 50s and 60s and at the same time meet all the requirements of today’s living. The modern apartments are 65 to 130 square meters in size. 24 of them are barrier-free.

A modern service center is being built in the immediate vicinity. Doctors‘ practices, a Rewe supermarket and a dm drugstore will settle here. In addition, 10 exclusive maisonette apartments are being built above the commercial space.

Completion by the end of 2019

The Neuland housing company has commissioned a general contractor with the construction. Koschany + Zimmer architects KZA take over the quality assurance and accompany the building process relating to the design specifications.

The investment volume is around 30 million euros; Completion is scheduled for the end of 2019.
