Wolfgang Zimmer and Hans Protsch represented the KZA office in a one-day BIM workshop at Bochum University of Applied Sciences. Around 30 participants from science and industry worked on an inventory of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in the premises of the university.

In a warm-up-lap, the participants first reported on their BIM experience. It was about positive developments, but also about obstacles and difficulties. Subsequently, the group tried to identify the training needs of professionals in the region. Based on their findings, the participants derived ideas for research proposals on BIM – both for concrete projects and for teaching at universities.

Koschany + Zimmer architects KZA were the only architects invited to the BIM workshop. In the discussion, Wolfgang Zimmer and Hans Protsch were mainly able to contribute their extensive practical experience. The KZA team has been working with the digital planning method for years.
