For the seventh time the „Industrieverband Feuerverzinken“ awarded the innovation prize „Feuerverzinken“ in Baden-Baden on 3rd November 2016. The first prize went to the KZA team for the use of hot-dip galvanized reinforcement in car park construction, specifically for two car parks of Aldi Süd, located in Mülheim an der Ruhr. KZA’s Essen architects planned and built the two properties from 2015 to 2016 as an addition to the entire complex of the German and international administrative center of the commercial firm. A jury, consisting of the board of directors of the industrial association based in Düsseldorf, praised above all the approximately 32,000 square meters of hot-dip galvanized upper reinforcement of the roadways.
