KZA director Nina Bendler will take on a deputy professorship at FH Aachen – University of Applied Sciences for the summer semester of 2018. In addition to her work at KZA, she will be strengthening the Department of Architecture for a two-year term from 1 April. She covers the field of construction management.

As a deputy professor, Nina Bendler accompanies students in bachelor’s and master’s programs. This involves architects’ tasks beyond the design and planning process. The master’s program also includes economic correlations and modern working methods such as Building Information Modeling (BIM).

Housing and modular building as subjects

Since 2014, Nina Bendler has been director and authorized signatory at KZA. In addition to general design topics, housing and modular construction are her specialties. Born in Essen, she studied architecture at the University of Dortmund and graduated in 2000 with a diploma. In the same year she started her career with Koschany + Zimmer Architekten KZA in Essen. There she worked as project manager for large construction projects for eleven years, including the construction of the new ALDI headquarters. From 2011 to 2012, she also gained experience as a project manager for Peek & Cloppenburg with a focus on Poland and the Benelux countries.
