Working in creative Rüttenscheid

Founded in Essen in 1959, our practice’s head office is now located in the green and vibrant Rüttenscheid district in the heart of the Ruhr metropolitan region. It’s from here that we and our 60-strong team manage all local, regional, national and international building projects. We’re both generalists and specialists for our clients, providing assistance with architectural questions, construction management tasks and consulting services. We specialise in residential and office buildings as well as educational, commercial and logistics premises. We regularly participate in architectural competitions in order to continually expanding our creative horizons – including overseas.

Studying at the KZA Academy

Providing targeted assistance to help your personal development is a matter that’s very close to our hearts. The monthly seminars held at our KZA Academy offer you an in-house opportunity to increase your skills and knowledge. We also support your personal development with courses offered by the Chamber of Architects.

Work-life balance

As a family-friendly company, we support you in finding the optimal balance between your career and private life: with flexible working hours, home office arrangements and the possibility of taking a sabbatical.

Fostering new talent

We’re a training establishment; we regularly mentor pupils on work experience and take on students working alongside their studies. We offer work placements for young foreign architects to help them get started in their chosen career. In 2015, we welcomed a young architect from China to our practice for six months, and in 2016, two Syrian refugees joined us as interns. They are permanent members of our team now.

Something we’re proud of: our employees have awarded our practice 4.55 out of a possible 5 points, and kununu has recognised us with the accolade “TOP COMPANY – recommended by employees”.
